BEHIND THE BUS
A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR

Hi, I'm Darla!

I'm an early childhood special education teacher, an author, and the imagination behind Pretend Land Publishing. I believe the best stories bring giggles, spark curiosity, and make children feel like anything is possible.

Boogie Bus and his friends began with a simple love for storytelling—and a whole lot of creative adventures along the way.

“We don’t create for the critics. We create for the little faces that light up when the story begins.”— Darla Dyer, Pretend Land Publishing

There's always another
adventure around the bend!
